Angus Boyd, Edmonton Criminal Defense Lawyer

Angus Boyd graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Faculty Saint-Jean at the University of Alberta and an LLB from the University of Alberta.  Over his career, he has practised in several areas of law, including family law, civil law and criminal law.  Angus Boyd has been practising in the area of criminal defence for 35 years.

Angus’s decades of experience include appearances in almost every Provincial Court in Alberta and at all levels of trial and appeal court in Alberta, as well as appearances in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and Ontario.  Angus has extensive experience in criminal litigation, including defending individuals charged with murder, assault, sexual assault, impaired driving and drug offences.

Angus has also defended people charged with a wide range of quasi-criminal and regulatory offences, including offences under the Traffic Safety Act, the Rules of the Road Regulation and the Fish and Games Act.
